Bungay Pub featured in BBC’s Countryfile

The Castle Inn in Bungay has been featured on BBC One’s Countryfile for its great reputation for local produce.

The shows episode was based on how food is wrongly advertised as fresh and locally produced. The town of Bungay can be proud to feature as a champion of local produce.

Presenter John Craven met with co-landlord Mark Hougham to film the pub and to see some of the delicious food on offer. It is no surprise as Bungay is a great destination for food, fun and holidays. Bungay has several tasty restaurants offering everything from Thai food to traditional English grub.

The Castle Inn is just one of many pubs that cover the town.

Bungay isn’t just a place to go for eating though. Nearby PleasureWood Hills is an amazing day out for anyone that loves theme parks.

Bungay is part of a great Suffolk coast that follows in the footsteps of the Castle Inn. The county of Suffolk is a well known producer of many types of food and drink.

Along the coast towns such as Aldeburgh and Southwold join Bungay in supporting locally produced food. Southwold is also the home of Adnams award winning distillery.

Come and visit Bungay and Suffolk for a real, local holiday.
