I have been coming here for breakfast on a Saturday morning for about 6 years now simply because it’s the best fry-up for miles around and it is certainly no greasy fry-up unless you want the fried bread and even that is cooked perfectly.
The building is right in the middle of the town centre and must be one of the oldest in the town, but it is the choice of good honest food at a fair price which makes this place so popular with the regulars.
If you are simply visiting Bungay, after your meal, turn right on leaving and at the T junction look out for the quiet footpath which is right in front of you across the road. Walk down this path and look out for the old town well on your right. The path eventually leads to Bridge Street with some very old shops worth looking out for.
Better still, explore the whole of Bungay and then come back to the tearooms again for a coffee and piece of cake.
I really quite like this place
